Your Name

School Psychologist

Pleasantville, NY

As a recent School Psychology graduate with a Master's degree, I am eager for the opportunity to contribute the skills acquired through an extensive training program, and formative educational process. My desire to provide the most opportune educational experience to all students is possible through a honed set of skills that include:
*Ability to thoroughly assess the current cognitive, social-emotional, adaptive and behavioral functioning of a student and provide an extensive written evaluation in planning for their educational needs.
*Ability to provide individual and group counseling to further develop social-emotional functioning and social skills.
*Ability to implement and utilize a collaborative model of intervention (e.g. RTI, Child Study Team, Behavioral Intervention Plans).
*Ability to further educate teachers, parents and students through workshops and seminars that bring awareness and strategies to areas of concern (i.e. bullying, coping skills, transition planning, motivation, executive functioning).
*Ability to communicate effectively with administration, teachers, and parents.
My desire to utilize these abilities to facilitate in enabling all children with an educational experience that is individualized, appropriate, and functional is exasperated by an innate passion for providing a nurturing environment that fosters emotional growth. In doing so I believe that we, as educators, therefore create a setting that is most conducive to building on a child’s strengths and giving them the tools to overcome their weaknesses.
With your consideration to assume this role, I can assure you that I can meet your expectations and contribute to the success of your school. I would eagerly welcome the opportunity for an interview to further discuss how my qualifications, experience, and passion would be of benefit to your educational community. I greatly appreciate and thank you for taking the time to review my resume and for your kind consideration.
