This location compounds medications for veterinary clinics and patient personal companion animals. Pharmacy does sterile 797 injections, ophthalmic preparations capsules, suspensions, transdermal gels in pen and syringe devices. Duties included, formula review, supervision of technician in the direct compounding of the medications. Also, that verification of the formula was followed correctly and inspection of finalized drug products. Counseling is performed to pet owners to educate patients with veterinarian instructions.

in charge to aid in the conversion from government to private industry. This prison is the central hub for all other AZ state prison. Inmates are evaluated for their Psychiatric, HIV, Diabetes, Cardiac health. Based on these parameters they are sent to other facilities. The PIC position routinely inspects these other facilities to ensure compliance.
This prison also processes orders for inmates that are hospitalized or require TPN/IV medications. Therapeutic review is routinely done with physicians to ensure formulary compliance

Pharmacy processed Long Term Care prescriptions. Pharmacy was a call center to correlate prescription needs to nursing homes and assisted living homes. Patients often needed help to get these services covered buy insurance and overlap between Medicare D and Medicare B and A. Preformed Drug utilization reviews and Prior Auth reviews and correlated responses to technicians for follow up. Oversight of pharmacy regulations to bridge two districts together for contracted time period. The pharmacy also did IV/TPN and antibiotic dosing. The pharmacist also acted as a drug information consultant to nurses to advise physician on therapy.

Prescribers were frequently contacted to recommend alterations of therapy for cost or other health conditions to better serve patients needs.
