o Completed the lengthy documentation process to gain acceptance on all major Preferred Provider Plans.
o Notable abilities to make effective referrals to Periodontists for surgeries and implants as well as to Orthodontists for braces and other treatments. Exceptionally willing to make internal referrals as well.
o Achieved a 99% collections ratio against an industry average of around 80%. Adept and collecting deductibles and co-pay as well.
o Consistently commended on internal customer satisfaction surveys for effective and speedy dental care. Approximately 10% of today's business is from patient referrals.

Direct the daily activities of the Vickery Dental Center, overseeing the efforts of seven dental health care providers and support staffing, including Baylor University dental students. Contribute on day a week to the DeHaro Center community clinic, or with the Mobile Unit visiting shelters and halfway houses. . Served and worked with a predominately Spanish-speaking population. However, the ethnic and social backgrounds of our patients is very diverse.
o Implemented numerous process controls and standardized operations covering documentation, inventory management and safe work environments.
o Facilitated "teaming" concepts to facilitate patient flow and improve productivity, standardize room preparation and set up and ensure on time arrivals for the work day.
o Oversaw treatment for up to 70 patients daily, both adults and children; personally managed up to 45 patients daily with the mobile unit at halfway houses and shelters.
o Developed working relationships with area endodontists to allow them the opportunity to do select charity endo cases

Launched an upscale private practice targeting upper middle class patients with both restorative and cosmetic dental practices in the Trinity Mills and Midway Road area of northern Dallas County. Managed a staff of five.
o Built revenues to over $500,000 annually with a combination of marketing techniques including zip-code targeted direct mail campaigns, ongoing referral programs with existing patients and intensive customer service and follow up. Sold the practice at a profit in 1995.
o Produced up to 60 new patients monthly, held patient attrition to less than 20% and enjoyed a 96% collection versus production level throughout the business life.
o Developed a Comprehensive Care Plan to that was sequenced to help maximize existent insurance coverage.
o Authored monthly columns on dental health and emerging cosmetic technologies for Total Fitness Magazine between 1988 and 1989, creating extreme brand awareness as the business grew.
o Developed the practice's first OSHA Standards and Compliance manual as the agency expanded its regulatory reach into the dental vertical. Concurrently developed the first Office Policy Manual and Employee Handbook.
o Recruited specialty service providers for root canals and wisdom teeth.
