As a senior patrol officer, my duties are twofold. My primary duties are to conduct general patrol and criminal investigations and to respond to call for service. Additionally my patrol duties include issuing citations and complete criminal written reports. Complete criminal charging documents and testifying in both criminal and traffic trials. My secondary duties are to use my years in service to serve as a guiding force within the department to mentor and train younger less experienced officers.

My duties had me assigned to the Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage Alaska as traffic and parking enforcement as well as asset protection prior to the development of Homeland Security. My primary role was to act as the onsite shift supervisor and manage the daily operations per shift. Additionally I served as the assistant site supervisor. I created and managed the weekly work schedule for fifteen officers. I attained the rank of lieutenant prior to accepting the police officer position with the Soldotna police.

As the chief of police, I served as the executive officer for the communities of Camp Douglas and the Village of Hustler Wisconsin. My primary duties were to conduct patrol and traffic enforcement and to respond to calls for service both on an off-duty. I conducted criminal investigations and completed written reports and testified in criminal and traffic court cases. 
I also served as the department court officer and department liaison to the county and Sheriff's Association. Additionally I managed the department budget and maintained the department vehicles and performed employee evaluations. In my role as the chief I was able to use the skills I learned in working in the other communities and take full advantage of the community policing ideas and put them to good use. I was very well liked in the community.

Deputy Sheriff

As deputy sheriff I had the opportunity to have three distinct roles and responsibilities. As a patrol deputy, my primary duties were to patrol the county and respond to call for service. I was responsible for issuing traffic citations, conducting criminal investigations and completing written reports and testifying in criminal and traffic trials. My secondary role was to serve as a jail deputy. My duties were to maintain the jail, manage the sentenced and non sentenced inmates as well as manage the inmates authorized to be on work release. My final role was to serve process of the court. 
Police officer Necedah Police Department 
My duties with the Necedah police were those of a patrol officer. I patrolled the community and responded to calls for service, issued traffic citations and completed criminal investigations and written reports. I also testified in criminal and traffic court cases. As a patrol officer for the Necedah police I was able to put my training in community police to practical use.

Stoddard Police Department,

1995 1998

My duties with the Stoddard police were those of a front line patrol officer. My primary duties were to patrol the community and respond to calls for service, issue traffic citations, complete criminal investigations and written reports. I also served as the department court officer and special criminal investigator. 
Park Ranger Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources 
As the Superintendent for Mill Bluff State Park I had two distinct duties. First I served as the manager for the park, overseeing the daily operations of the park to include park programs, hikes, and scheduling as well as scheduling the activities of the park Naturalist. I also oversaw the park maintenance and staff to include being in the hiring board for all summer staff. I was also responsible for all of the finances and revenue generated by the park and responsible for the deposition of the funds. 
My secondary duties were that of a police officer. I patrolled all park lands and responded for calls for service within the park lands, other parks as well as surrounding law enforcement jurisdictions. I issued citations and conducted investigations as well and complete written reports and testified in criminal and traffic court case. 
I also held a Conservation Warden certification which allowed me to enforce fish and game laws as well as patrol the assigned jurisdiction for hunting violations. I conducted watercraft patrol along the Mississippi River and assisted with teaching hunter's safety and boater safety classes. 
Emergency Police/Fire Dispatcher, Tomah Police Department 
My duties with the City of Tomah were those of an emergency radio dispatcher. The City of Tomah's 911 dispatch center maintains dispatch services for the police, fire and ambulance service as well as a back-up emergency dispatch center for the Monroe County Police and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
