Responsibilities and Key Tasks: 
Oversee all welding operations for many different crews along the line. Crews consisted of Pipe Gang, Road Bores, Tie-ins, and Lower-In. 
 
When welding operations were not being performed my responsibilities included overseeing any pump station installations, excavating or backfilling operations, witnessing coating repairs and their continuity using a jeep/holiday detector and determining locations using alignment sheets and any available survey engineering stations. 
 
On several occasions it became necessary to work directly with The Department of Transportation and Transcanda representatives to ensure all work being performed was within all applicable codes and specifications. 
 
A daily report was generated at the end of every workday and turned in to my Chief Inspector to be reviewed.

Final Bench Inspector

Inspection of all 42" helically welded pipe being produced by Welspun for the Ruby Pipeline Project. 
 
Responsibilities and Key Tasks: 
Performed visual inspections of welding on the outside and inside diameters of the pipe. Any parent metal defects located were also noted. All final dimensioning for the pipe was cleared through my approval using pi tapes to verify diameter at pipe ends and body. All bevel angels and land dimensions were checked as well as overall quality and workmanship. 
 
Verified that all pipes have been cleared through their appropriate pre-inspection stations and that they have been cleared in the SAP system.

As a level II inspector my job was to test several different weldments, pressure vessels and castings in accordance with current codes and procedures. Part of my duties were to x-ray, develop and interpret radiographic film of welder qualification test coupons, ultrasonically examine full penetration welds for structural steel buildings, and visually inspect weldments for many different applications. 
 
As a materials testing technician my job was to sample and test concrete mixes to verify strength and viscosity requirements were met per designated codes and specifications. 
 
Successfully completed and documented required hours to acquire my level II certifications in UT, MT, PT and RT.
