I am interested in speaking to you concerning my qualifications for an Environmental, Health and Safety Position within your organization. I am a strong Environmental, Health and Safety Professional who has utilized my expertise in the Environmental, Health and Safety fields to lead facilities (industrial and construction) to injury and incident rates lower than their respective industry averages. I have developed and led the safety culture during the construction, startup and operational phases of a facility to over 1 Million Man-hours without a Lost Work Day Injury. I have been involved in the Environmental, Health and Safety programs for a Paper Mill, Power Plant, meat packaging plants, chocolate manufacturing, pharmaceutical facilities and construction organizations. I have developed and implemented safety programs such as Behavior Based Safety that have consistently shown that emphasizing safe behaviors and correcting unsafe behaviors will reduce injuries at a facility. I currently manage Health and Safety programs for construction activities in a refinery setting and have recently managed construction safety for pharmaceutical and food manufacturing construction projects. 
 
In my recent experience, I have utilized my knowledge and personality to develop a safety culture that has lowered recordable injury rates by 20 percent in a four-month period. I have successfully managed workers compensation cases to benefit both the employer and employee and have developed leading indicator tracking systems to prevent injuries before they occur. I have guided a facility through a successful OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) STAR recertification.
