  • Organized and wrote the Hepatitis C treatment protocol for the Healthy Liver Clinic at Turning Point Alcohol & Drug Centre

  • Re-wrote Heroin Overdose and Anaphylaxis Protocols for Turning Point Alcohol & Drug Centre

Senior AOD Clinician Turning Point Alcohol & Drug Centre/ Healthy Liver Clinic

Responsibilities:
  • Screened & managed 112 clients for HCV assessment and treatment as well as other Blood Bourne Viruses (BBV)
  • Managed treatment of 27 clients for Hepatitis C; to date 8 completed treatment, 2 with SVR
  • Organized client review and schedules for GI Specialist and Clinic Medical Director of Healthy Liver Clinic
  • Assessment of Mental Health status and needs with referral for psychiatric evaluation and or treatment
  • Responsible for Case Management of all clients of the Healthy Liver Clinic
  • Facilitated all doctors orders concerning medication, scans, x-rays, referrals, medical records, ordered and interpreted labs, took call 24/7 for clients of the Healthy Liver Clinic
  • Responsible for Medicare billing, care plans and organizing case conferences of clients of the Healthy Liver Clinic
  • Responsible for collection of all research data, accurate record keeping of all data and the use of all data in reports, presentations and articles
  • Education of Turning Point staff and outside organization upon request about Hepatitis C and the Healthy Liver Clinic, pharmacotherapy, BBV/STI and other subjects
  • Collect data from client blood work, Opiate Treatment Index, BDI-II, DASS-21, Quality of Life and other indices
