Operated and maintained city water and wastewater plant facilities, grounds and dispersed storage tanks. Job duties to include: Daily monitoring of plant functions, adjustments of Chemical doses, Soda ash for PH control, powdered activated carbon for taste and odor control, Chlorine, Fluoride, cationic polymers and filter aid polymers. Filter monitoring and backwashing, filter media condition tracking, and development of a filter profile program designed to allow the operator to track filter performance and allow for filter maintenance before performance loss occurs. Monitoring of turbidity and Chlorine levels, using standard testing procedures for drinking water. SCADA operation and monitoring for the water, wastewater and drinking water pump stations and wastewater lift stations. Daily documentation for water quality of drinking water as well as wastewater discharge flows. State reporting and filing, monthly and quarterly reporting to the Colorado Department of Health and Environmental Protection. Mathematical Dose calculations. Scheduling of water plant maintenance, parts and chemical ordering, as well as laboratory supply ordering. As a class A CDL holder, I was also involved in snow removal for the town as needed during the winter months.
