Worked on a New Medical application is called Defense Online Environment System (DOES). DOES is the web based application for the National Enrollment Database (NED) of the Department of Defense (DoD). This application allows enrollment function to be performed for beneficiaries of DoD health care and other related programs. BWE is a web application that allows DOD Sponsors and Family Members to enroll in DOD sponsored Health Care Plans, the primary being TRICARE. The application is accessible through a link on the TRICARE Online (TOL) portal. Authentication is done using one of three credentials: the Common Access Card (CAC), DFAS PIN, or Family Member PIN. The application will use the DOD EDI Person ID obtained from the authentication module and will retrieve the family or person data as a response from the HCDP knowledge base (HCDP KB). The application applies the concerned rules to identify the beneficiary using the application and will accordingly provide access to the different data items based on the role-based logic.
